1. General Provisions

This Legal Notice governs the relationship between the Website administration alambic-distillery.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Seller") and any internet user (hereinafter referred to as the "Buyer" or "User") arising from the use of the Website and placement of orders. 1.2. By accessing this Website or making a purchase, the User automatically expresses their full and unconditional agreement with these terms.

2. Product Information and Purpose

2.1. All products (copper alembic stills and accessories) presented on the Website are decorative-utilitarian handcrafted items and technical equipment intended for distillation (such as production of essential oils, hydrolats, water purification, etc.). 2.2. The Seller provides accurate information regarding product specifications (material, components, volume). Due to the nature of traditional handcrafting (Handcrafted), actual products may vary slightly in shape, seam texture, or metal hue from the photographs on the Website. These minor variations are not considered defects.

3. User Responsibility and Local Legislation

3.1. The Seller operates and sells equipment in compliance with the legislation of the European Union. Copper alembic stills are entirely legal goods for purchase, ownership, and transportation within the EU. 3.2. Important Disclaimer: Laws regulating the domestic production of alcohol (distillation of spirit-containing liquids) vary significantly depending on the Buyer's country of residence. In some countries, domestic distilling requires a special license or equipment registration, while in others, home distillation is restricted or completely prohibited. 3.3. The Buyer assumes full and personal responsibility for complying with the local laws of their country regarding the use of the purchased equipment. The Seller shall not be held liable for any unlawful actions committed by the Buyer, nor for any fines, penalties, or confiscation of property by state authorities resulting from the Buyer’s violation of local legislation.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1. All prices on the Website are indicated in Euros (€) and include all applicable taxes within the territory of dispatch (EU). 4.2. The Seller reserves the right to modify prices at any time prior to the confirmation and full payment of the order by the Buyer. 4.3. Orders are processed and handed over to the courier service (GLS) only after 100% prepayment has been successfully received.

5. Limitation of Liability for Product Use

5.1. Distillation is a high-temperature process that requires strict adherence to safety guidelines (working with heat sources, monitoring pressure, and ensuring adequate room ventilation). 5.2. The Seller is not liable for any direct or indirect damage, health injuries, burns, or property damage caused by:

  • Improper, negligent, or untrained use of the alembic still by the Buyer;

  • The use of faulty or incompatible heating elements;

  • Blockage of the vapor pathways ("swan neck") due to overfilling the pot or violating distillation techniques.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All content published on the Website (including texts, graphics, logos, design, and product photographs) is the intellectual property of alambic-distillery.com or its partners. 6.2. Copying, distributing, or commercially exploiting any materials from this Website without prior written consent from the administration is strictly prohibited.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

7.1. This agreement and all disputes arising in connection with the use of the Website or the purchase of products shall be governed by the laws of the European Union member state where the Seller is registered. 7.2. Both parties agree to resolve any disputes or disagreements through amicable negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent court at the Seller's registered place of business.
